How to reach Leeuwarden, The Netherlands ?
The city of Leeuwarden is easily reached by a direct and comfortable intercity train from Amsterdam Airport Schiphol (half hour service, duration: 2.5 hour) .
One can buy a ticket for the intercity service from to Leeuwarden at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol (42 euro), or even prior to leaving home at http://www.ns.nl. No special reservation is required for the train. Alternatively, one can reserve a taxi (http://www.ltctaxi.nl, +31 (0)58 2122222), but the costs will be between 150 and 350 euro, depending on whether a reservation is made well in advance or not.
Summerschool location
The summerschool location is the Van Hall Larenstein building, Leeuwarden. The Van Hall Larenstein building is located about 15 walking minutes away from the old city centre. Leeuwarden is a beautiful small old and historical city with royal connections and an extensive canal network.
